Let me take you to Starbucks...

Welcome to our local Starbucks. This place packs tight with people on Friday and Saturday nights....it's the "in" place. The drive-through is still the biggest attraction. Starbucks may be having it's problems economically, but it is still the life line of people around here. Grande caffeine, anyone?

Week end time

Really glad this one is over....the week that is. I'm still wound up...the storms...the crazy drivers...the cold....the wet. Okay, I did buy girl scout cookies this week or maybe that was last week :) I need to shop for a blue shirt. Okay, okay....Starbucks first.

This @#$% Snow!

The snow started around midnight. So the 5:30 am commute was deep and slushy....no road cleanup yet, of course. But where else can you drive with a million or more "close" friends on ice?

Yipes!! Skypes!!

Another first....we talked with Annabelle over the camera connection on our computers. Wow, how great is that. Annabelle showed us her fancy shoes and hat. We played hide, peekaboo, and Grampa got Annabells's nose several times. What fun!!! What a BIG girl she is.

Thanks, Kiddo and Laura, for getting our computers linked up.

Cha-Cha-Chilly

Burrrr does not say enough. We ran out of fuel oil at the church. It was 45 degrees for service this morning (5 degrees outside). We all wore our coats of course. Dave preached....a pretty good service about fishing. At least we were thinking some warm thoughts. We really felt badly for the Music Director as she played piano with blue fingers. No weather warm up around here for a few days.

The Weekend....It's finally here!!

This was a tough week...work and church. I can say that the Amazing Annabelle helps get me through. There were two major accomplishments in my world: 1) fixed the vertical blinds at the patio door, and 2) got yellow ink for the printer. Now I can print again. Woo Hoo!!

New Prez...

It was a historic day for the country....but I had to work my regular 6:00 am to 5:30 pm . Personally, I am looking forward to the future. Let's hope the rest of the politicians get on the wagon.

Too much snow and cold...longing for a milder season!

OOPs! Another day in Manhattan.

Makes you think twice about flying, doesn't it?

P.S. Jan.15 is niece Tamie Sue's birthday....the BIG 40. Happy Birthday! You're still a kid to me!!

Catching up...

We attended a funeral Sunday evening for one of our church members. We knew her well since we shared Bible study together. We know several people that are needing prayers for health.
It's been one year ago that the owner of the business passed away. His daughter is running the company...and it is growing like a weed. :-)

The weather is the story today. SNOW, SNOW, SNOW! Too bad were not at home enjoying the cat's life.

Santa was here!!

Just when we thought Christmas was over, a package arrived from Oklahoma. Oklahoma is where Santa goes to relax after Christmas....he likes OU Football. The gifts are awesome!! Gramma's gifts will be used right away...they are just what Gramma needed. Grampa, on the other hand, will have to stay awake long enough to use his gifts. :-)

Food Channel....Fear this!

Okay...there is one bright spot in cancelling the Watch Night Service...leftover fruit tray.

Frosty New Year!

BURRRR!!! This is a lot like Kansas. Most of the snow blew off into the ocean, I'm sure!

Holiday Party Memories

Monday night party...good food, lots of singing, Carol's magic fingers on the organ. Thanks Carol and Harry for hosting the party!
